Founded in 2021, Colorado Extreme was born out of a simple but powerful vision: to give every child in the Roaring Fork Valley the chance to discover and fall in love with the game of hockey. From the very beginning, our focus has been on more than just competition—we set out to create a place where young athletes could develop their skills, build confidence, and experience the joy of being part of a team.

We recognized that hockey can be financially out of reach for many families, and we wanted to change that. That’s why our Learn to Skate and 6U/8U programs are completely free, and our 10U–14U travel programs are heavily subsidized. By removing financial barriers, we ensure that every child—regardless of background—has the opportunity to step onto the ice.

Along the way, we’ve built a culture of excellence and mentorship. Our coaching staff, made up of experienced professionals, are committed to developing not only better hockey players but also stronger leaders and teammates. Through their guidance, our players are learning lessons that will serve them well both on and off the ice.

Colorado Extreme’s story is still being written, but one thing will never change: our commitment to making hockey accessible, enjoyable, and transformative for the next generation of athletes in the Valley.
