Service Offerings

Counseling for Youth Hockey Players

Our youth hockey organization is proud to offer a comprehensive Social Work Resource program, designed to support the emotional, social, and mental well-being of our players both on and off the ice. Led by counselors with experience in child development and sports psychology, this service is tailored to meet the unique needs of young athletes as they navigate the challenges of competitive sports and adolescence.

Key Features of the Program:

  • Individual Support Sessions: Players can schedule one-on-one meetings with a counselor to discuss personal challenges, stress management, or any mental health concerns.

  • Group Workshops: Regular workshops covering topics such as team dynamics, coping with performance pressure, building resilience, and developing healthy communication skills.

  • Parental Guidance: We offer sessions for parents to help them support their child’s emotional and social needs, including managing expectations and fostering positive sports experiences.

  • On-Ice Integration: Social workers collaborate with coaches to ensure the emotional well-being of players is considered in team strategies and training, promoting a positive and inclusive environment.

  • Crisis Support: Immediate response and intervention for players dealing with acute emotional distress, ensuring a safe and supportive space within the organization.
